Sara attended the Mayor’s Task force for Austin Women Entrepreneur’s Feedback Session.
The Mayor’s Task Force for Austin Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) seeks your advice and involvement. What obstacles have you had to overcome as a women business owner or founder in Austin Texas? What is needed to better enable the transition from startup to scale? Join us Mon. August 28th for a glass of wine and a focused feedback session at Jan Ryan’s home in Westlake Hills from 4:00 – 5:30. In a casual setting, you’ll have the opportunity to openly discuss with peers such topics as underlying gender biases, inequitable access to capital, legal barriers, mentoring, child care, and barriers commonly experienced. The Mayor has asked the task force to issue a report in early 2024 providing pragmatic and actionable steps that our city, higher education institutions, non-profits, and private sector partners can take to help level the playing field for female entrepreneurs. We know we can do better in Austin!
So come have a drink with a focused group of female entrepreneurs on these topics. And if you’re interested in getting more involved in the Task Force we want to know that too! We ask that yohu RSVP here below.
Time: 4:00 – 5:30. Place: 3907 Prentice Lane. Jan Ryan’s home: 512.656.9878.
