The Rice Alliance has worked for the last few years with the Department of Energy’s Office of Technology Transitions on their EnergyTech University Prize, a collegiate competition for business plan development. The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Technology Transitions EnergyTech University Prize, had 225 competing teams from 117 different schools for its first phase and 28 teams were identified as finalists who are now vying for prizes at the national event to occur on Monday, April 15 in Austin as part of the Energy Thought Summit. The teams are tasked to present innovative business models for commercializing energy technology.
