” The Cockrell School of Enginerring and the Women in Engineering Program (WEP) are excited to host the 3rd Annual Women Changing the World event Thursday, November 17, 2016. The purpose of the event is to provide a forum for prominent women graduates of the Cockrell School of Engineering and current female undergraduate and graduate students to connect. Amazing Cockrell School graduates and industry friends have an opportunity to learn about WEP initiatives and Cockrell School efforts to recruit, retain and graduate more women through presentations by WEP staff and student leaders. They also share experiences, provide professional advice, and answer questions with our student participants throughout a panel discussion and an interactive dinner discussion.”

 

 

True Wealth Ventures Founding General Partner Sara Brand is a board member at the Cockrell School and Engineering and a volunteer and mentor with Women in Engineering Program (WEP). At the Women Changing the World Event, Dr. Brand mentored and networked with women engineering students, and discussed career paths and her experience as an engineering professional.
