Every week, PitchBook highlights a company that recently received funding that could impact our daily lives or change the entire world. This week is True Wealth Venture’s BrainCheck!
About BrainCheck
The company developed a health assessment app to help individuals make informed decisions about their cognitive health. BrainCheck offers a screening tool and interactive tests allowing users to assess their brain health on any mobile device or browser and receive results on the spot. With the app, individuals can track their brain health for significant changes and share results with clinicians.
BrainCheck was co-founded by neuroscientists Dr. Yael Katz and Dr. David Eagleman in 2015. In 2016, the company graduated from DreamIt Ventures’ accelerator program. The following year, the company raised $1.5 million from True Wealth Ventures, which exclusively invests in female-founded companies (and whose limited partners are more than 80% women).
