Who likes to party? Apparently Austin startups do — because they threw down in style at Wednesday evening’s 50 on Fire party.
In a room packed with a few hundred of Austin’s top innovators, we celebrated the 50 most exciting and fast-growing startups in Austin and announced the category-winning Inno Blazers.
For the uninitiated, 50 on Fire is a contest that starts with hundreds of nominations from the community. Austin Inno — along with editors at other American Inno markets — then select the 50 most exciting companies, which is gauged by recent venture capital funding, employee headcount growth and innovative products. A panel of judges evaluates the 50 on Fire list and rank the top three companies in each category. After tallying votes, we have our category-winning Inno Blazers.
Finally, a special thanks to this year’s judges: Harlan Beverly of Texas Venture Labs, Mike Smerklo of Next Coast Ventures and Colin Pope of the Austin Business Journal.
Alright… let’s get to the list of winners and a few photos (we’ll be adding more later).
